ST. LOUIS – Evans &
Dixon, LLC has elected five new members to the firm. Christopher K. Durso, Jennifer
R. Hargis, Michael A. Karr, Brian R. Shank and Michelle M. Symank have been
voted as new Members. Timothy M. Tierney, Managing Member of the firm, made the
announcement.
“We are very pleased to
recognize the special accomplishments of these attorneys. It is well-deserved,”
said Tierney. “They will continue to contribute to the success and growth Evans
and Dixon.”
Christopher K. Durso has
experience in legal collections, subrogation, retail and commercial collection,
landlord-tenant law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Art and the Missouri
Dig Rite Statute. Mr. Durso is a graduate of Saint Louis University Law School.
Jennifer R. Hargis has 13 years
practice in Civil Litigation defending individuals, companies and government
entities in personal injury and property damage matters, as well as handling
cases in the areas of employment law, construction, consumer finance and
representing plaintiffs. Ms. Hargis has also served as a corporate counsel for
a large national construction company based in St. Louis and has practiced
litigation at a reputable insurance defense firm in St. Louis.
Michael A. Karr concentrates
his practice on the defense of employers against claims for Workers’
Compensation benefits from workplace injuries resulting in physical or mental
disability under the Illinois and Missouri Workers’ Compensation Acts. Mr. Karr
is a graduate of Saint Louis University Law School.
Brian R. Shank practices Litigation
representing individuals, nonprofits, municipalities, businesses and insurance
companies in courts throughout Missouri, Illinois and the greater United
States. Mr. Shank has experience on the east coast training other attorneys on
liability and compliance issues surrounding the Clean Air Act and its various
NESHAPs, including the BWON. He is a graduate of Saint Louis University School
of Law.
Michelle M. Symank focuses
on Workers’ Compensation with previous industry experience in property and
casualty insurance and insurance sales. Ms. Symank is a member of the Bar
Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) and Women Lawyers’ Association of
Greater St. Louis. She serves as co-chair of the BAMSL Workers’ Compensation
Committee. She is a graduate of Oklahoma City University Law School.
