Evans & Dixon, LLC is pleased to announce that Richard Behr and Thomas Hayek have joined the firm in the St. Louis office. Rich and Tom bring with them a wealth of experience and an established civil litigation practice.

Richard J. Behr:

Rich Behr has over 30 years' experience trying cases in State and Federal courts in the Midwest. Rich specializes in litigating cases in Missouri and Illinois, and he has successfully tried over 75 cases to jury. Throughout his career, Rich has had significant experience defending hospitals, physicians and nurses in medical malpractice cases, as well as defending municipalities, police departments, businesses and hospitals in employment law cases involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblower, disability and wrongful termination claims. Rich spent five years defending Jones Act and maritime claims in state and federal courts mainly in IL, MO and IA. 

Thomas J. Hayek: 

Tom Hayek has over 30 years’ experience in civil litigation, primarily defending those individuals and institutions providing healthcare, legal and aviation services.  He has conducted numerous jury trials to completion in Illinois and Missouri and argued multiple appeals before the state and federal courts; representing physicians, hospitals, allied health professionals, attorneys, pilots and aviation maintenance professionals. Tom is admitted to practice in the Illinois and Missouri state courts, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. Tom is a retired veteran of the United States Air Force.
