Laurie is a civil litigation attorney with over 10 years of insurance defense experience. Before joining Evans & Dixon in 2018, she was voted first ever, female partner at her previous firm and was proud to join the ranks of many other successful and respected female attorneys at Evans & Dixon. Laurie has spent her career defending a variety of individuals and entities either directly or in the insurance defense capacity. Her experience is diverse and includes both third party and first party claims, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, commercial auto defense, automobile liability, construction liability, premises liability, directors and officers liability, third party criminal acts, fire losses, products liability, restaurant liability, and landlord/tenant matters. Laurie personally handles her cases from start to finish including all aspects of pre-trial discovery, mediation, trial (bench or jury) and appeal. She not only has trial experience, but has appellate experience in the Missouri Court of Appeals and the Missouri Supreme Court.
Throughout her career, Laurie has developed great experience and passion for all aspects of representing landlords, property management companies and association management companies. She is honored to represent these clients directly to provide risk management consulting, crisis management, General Counsel representation and litigation representation. Laurie takes a hands-on approach with her clients and prides herself on becoming part of their team and not just a vendor.

In October of 2018, Laurie attended the Litigation Management Institute (LMI) hosted at Loyola Law School in Chicago where she earned her Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation.

Laurie is frequently asked to speak on various topics, but most notably focuses on risk management and/or deterrence and response to third party criminal acts. She consistently presents on the topics for various property and association management companies and has presented at the Annual Missouri Self Insured Association (MSIA) Conference and the Evans & Dixon Spring Client Seminar. Additionally, Laurie was a Moderator for the “Early and Often: Evaluating Your Claim and Launching Endgame” program conducted by Eagle International Associates, and she has been a presenter in various Criminal Justice courses at Maryville University. Furthermore, Laurie has presented on various topics at programs offered by Community Associations Institute.

Interests:
Outside of the office, Laurie loves spending time with her
husband, family, friends, and her four-legged children (her lovable and crazy
pups). Her interests include traveling, music that spans all genres and time
periods, sporting events (especially University of Kentucky basketball, St.
Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues games), movies (old and new), and concerts.
Additionally, Laurie commits time to Angels Arms, a charity near and dear to
her heart and the heart of her husband Brandon who serves as their Vice
President.
