Ms. Schott joined Evans & Dixon in 2020 and concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance defense, personal injury, and general litigation.
After graduating law school, Ms. Schott worked for two years as the law clerk to the judges in the Fourth Judicial District of Iowa. Since entering private practice, Ms. Schott has handled a wide variety of litigation for over 20 years in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. Her work has included complex litigation and appellate practice. Much of Ms. Schott’s work has focused on professional liability, including medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and dental and legal malpractice. She has represented many licensed professionals in administrative proceedings. Additionally, Ms. Schott has prepared insurance coverage opinions and defended insurers against claims. She also defends premises liability claims.
Ms. Schott is a lifetime resident of the Omaha area. She graduated from Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and has lived in Council Bluffs and Glenwood, Iowa, and most recently Omaha.
In her spare time, she enjoys riding her retired race horse, and activities with her Australian Cattle Dogs. She has been involved with various animal shelters and animal rescue groups, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Nebraska Border Collie Rescue.
Ms. Schott has been an attorney coach for mock trial teams for several years. She is looking forward to working with the Elkhorn, Nebraska high school mock trial teams this fall.
