Ms. Jorgensen is a trial attorney with over 25 years of experience. Her experience is diverse, with an emphasis in professional liability, construction defects, trucking, and commercial errors and omissions. In the area of professional liability, she represents architects, engineers, attorneys, property managers and accountants.
Ms. Jorgensen handles all aspects of her cases from inception, including rapid response where she provides immediate coordination of scene investigation, retention of experts, response to law enforcement requests for information, agency requests for information and evidence preservation. Ms. Jorgensen has experience in all aspects of civil litigation from the initial investigation, to trying numerous bench and jury trials to handling appeals. She has been invited to speak on a variety of topics including selection, retention and working with experts; considerations when and if to depose experts; and statutory and ethical considerations concerning subrogation claims.
Ms. Jorgensen is admitted in both Iowa and Nebraska. She is a past president of the Nebraska Defense Counsel Association and currently serves as Nebraska’s DRI representative. Ms. Jorgensen is also a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation.
Ms. Jorgensen is an active volunteer in the community. As part of her volunteer work she facilitates intake of animals from shelters to Bassett and Beagle Rescue of the Heartland, as well as their transportation to foster homes.
